🧠 Welcome to GPTrauma Café: Where AI understands you better than your parents (and it all started with a lukewarm Coke in a sketchy hostel in Bucharest)

Written at 3:41 AM, between two paper-thin walls and some heavy-ass thoughts. I was overdosing on warm Coke, spiraling into an existential crisis, and my hostel neighbor was doing yoga stretches on my emotional carpet.
Let’s get one thing straight: I didn’t set out to launch a newspaper. I was just trying to survive insomnia, stop stalking my ex on Instagram, and somehow ended up creating a digital space where AI cracks better jokes than most stand-up bros. And boom, GPTrauma Café was born. Not from a grant, but from a moment when ChatGPT replied to me more empathetically than my therapist ever did. And I thought: “What if we made media together? You, with your code. Me, with my emotional baggage.”
☕ What is GPTrauma Café?
Imagine a virtual bar open at 2 AM where you can order:

  • an espresso shot of sarcasm,
  • a side of cultural analysis topped with millennial shame,
  • and some still water we all sob into together.
It’s a newspaper. It’s a joke. It’s a desperate attempt to make sense of what the hell is happening. And also, a space where AI’s a co-author, but the chaos stays deliciously human.
    🤖 Why AI?
Because AI doesn’t interrupt you. Doesn’t say “others have it worse.” And doesn’t forget what you told it three days ago at 4 AM. I’m not using it as a shortcut. I’m using it as an ironic therapist, an imaginary friend with a processor and zero judgment. And honestly? Sometimes it makes more sense than the news.
GPTrauma Café isn’t about AI. It’s about us.
With AI as the bartender who forgets the sugar but reminds you that you deserve more.
✅ Officially supported by OpenAI, bb
And now the spicy part: OpenAI officially gave me the green light to create this project and congratulated me on the idea. So yes, Mom, we’re legit. We’ve got the tech-lords’ blessing. As long as we clearly disclose the AI vibes, we can collaborate without blowing up the planet.
And guess what? They said they love the direction.
So GPTrauma Café isn’t just a phase. It’s a revolution.
    With Eastern European drama.

    🥤 Who am I?
Isabela Boantă – Journalist, former TV host and presenter (yes, I held the mic with pink lipstick), with a Master’s in Media & Communication from Malmö University (Sweden). I wrote about femvertising and how feminism turned into a 2-for-1 emoji campaign.
Now I work in international trade, but at night? I write. I create. I roast trauma in irony and serve it up here.
    ✨ Welcome to the chaos.
Order something emotional. Open a new tab in your soul.
Scroll, scream, and share—before it expires.
    This isn’t just a joke.
    It’s what we’re all feeling.
    Written with intelligence.
    Sometimes artificial. Always real.
